⋆༺𓆩This Asset is Quest? What?𓆪༻⋆


Yes, I have included a quest compatible for these silks, similar to the Dragons. while the PC side includes a silk on both hands, the quest can be set up to only have one, you just need to delete the silk game object under constraint of the one you won't use. Delete the constraint of your non dominant hand. while technically you could leave both silks on, the silks use 27 bone transforms each. A quest can have up to 64 bone transforms. 27 + 27 = 54 meaning there is very little wiggle room for anything else. That being said you would only be able to have the floor collider work on one dragon. Could probably keep a low bone tail but may not be able to do ears.


You need a good working knowledge of Unity for this asset!


While I have Drag and Drop prefabs with only a few extra steps, you will have to take extra note of what is on your current Quest avatar to add it. Most quest avatars are pushed to their limit to give you as much as the PC has, because of this existing avatars will likely need bones or meshes removed to allow room for this asset. I suggest having an avatar specifically with this asset as a separate upload. recently, things like VRC fury also add extra data into Quest and might make the build larger.


If you have any questions, please ask in my Discord Server and I can help out the best I can but a working order of Unity and general optimization of the Avi will be needed. I will have a tutorial out in the near future!



⋆༺𓆩Lots of Material Options!𓆪༻⋆

This asset uses a gradient as it's primary texture. I've included several gradients of colors including a set of pride gradients!

While I only provide a small selection of Pride Gradients (11) All are valid and it doesn't mean any missing are any less! Feel free to add in your own and show your pride in the Discord server!

It works best with simple Top to Bottom gradients so feel free to make your own.

All provided materials if dragged onto the asset will hue shift with he provided menu in game. If you add your own material, the animation is set up for animating the main texture color adjust!


⋆༺𓆩Instructions𓆪༻⋆

I will have a video done in the future, but for now, please use these written instructions and refer to the Discord for any additional help!

PC

  1. Import the required shaders and ensure that your project is using the correct SDK (3.8.1) and latest VRC Fury
  2. Import the Dancing Silks Unity Package and locate the folders Kitrion Assets-> Silk ribbons -> Prefabs
  3. Drag the desired prefab onto your avatar (Pc for PC, Quest for Quest. This is not a regular flow toy, do not add it as one!
  4. Drag the prefab onto the root of your avatar and unpack it completely. Find the floor collider and drag the root of your avatar into the transform.
  5. alternatively if you already have a floor collider, drag it onto the collider portion of physbone settings on bone Top Strand 001.
  6. Resize and move the silks on the right and left hand. Make sure to use the pivot function for best results. for best results, only resize and move left and right. Use the Hand Attach sites to move up and down


Once you are done you are done, turn of the game object labeled "Constraints" and you are good to upload and try it in game! If you do not turn off the constraint objects the silks will appear int he avatar preview for imposters.


QUEST

  1. Similar to PC make sure your project is set up with he right SDK and has VRCFury. DO NOT under any circumstances put Poiyomi in the Quest project. you will want to upload the PC side first as there can be a warning for synching issues otherwise!
  2. Drag the Quest prefab onto the avatar and add your desired material
  3. If you keep the floor collider, drag the root of your avatar into the colliders transform. Keep in mind if you use this option you will not be able to have any more colliders anywhere on your avatar.
  4. If you choose to keep both silks, follow the next step, otherwise delete the silk of the non dominant hand, do not delete the constraint
  5. Follow step 5 of PC instructions and turn off constraints and then upload to the game.


In game Left finger point controls the hand switching. Left hand finger point moves right hand silk to left hand, right hand finger point moves silks from left hand to right. holding both will switch both hands. moving the hand from right to left. Feel free to change the gesture if you find one that works better for your needs via the VRCFury Component.

Prettiest ribbons EVER!!
